Which fats should you prefer?

Oils, cooking methods, fish rather than meat: a dietitian's advice for choosing and varying your fats every day.

Oils are to be preferred over fats of animal origin: olive oil, walnut oil, rapeseed oil, or even sunflower oil.

Moreover, you should avoid fried foods and prefer cooking en papillote, in the oven, steamed… and favour seasoning with oil in its raw form.

Fish are also more worthwhile than meats because of their greater richness in unsaturated fatty acids and their low content of saturated fatty acids.

In all cases, diversify and vary the oils and your diet in general in order to be in good health.
